Hediye Sezin Aykurt - Girmeler Primary School - Turkey - How To Have A Sustainable Life?

We worked hard on the title "How To Have A Sustainable Life?" I guided them to use as many Web2.0 tools as possible. We focused on the climate change and prepared a coding game (without computer) titled "Edmdo Robot Builds An Echo-City". We had four stages for this activity. Each stage was a great effort for my students and they did their best.

We prepared a game together. First we printed the papers. Secondly we cut out and stickted the recycling bins. Later we cut out the cards having pictures of bottle, can, newspaper etc. Then we prepared our dice. Players shared the cards equally and the first player threw the dice. S/He put the material into the correct recycling bin. Later the aother players took turns playing.The game went on like this. The player who finished the recyclable cards in her/his hand first, won the game.

Renewable energy is very important to protect our world. But what is renewable energy? Why is it so much important for our world? In this book, a sensible and environmentally friendly family tells their little son Efe how to generate natural energy using solar, wind and water.This book, prepared with global environmental goals, will raise awareness and mobilize young minds on how to save our planetfrom further damage.

"Reduce consumption, Reuse, Recycle" These three items are the core philosophy of saving our green planet. Recycling can be even more fun if you are a creative person. Home and environment you live in is the place where you can make biggest difference for recycling.
